Q: What skill sets are needed to participate in AZGiveCamp?
A: We need IT professionals of all sorts, including software developers and architects, designers, analysts, project managers, networking and server folks. We also need anyone with a talent for organizing and a passion for supporting the non-profit and charity community, regardless of their technical skills.
Q: It’s called GiveCamp. Do you mean like an actual camp with tents and s’mores?
A: Sort of! The goal of the event is to go from concept to finished product in the course of a weekend, which can mean a lot of long hours. Some people decide to arrive on Friday and don’t leave for the whole weekend, which is all part of the fun. First class accommodations are provided – assuming your idea of first class accommodations is your own bedroll and an open space on the floor!
Q: I like food. Will there be food?
A: Some fantastic sponsors have volunteered to privide meals for our awesome volunteers.
Q: Will there be swag? Prizes? Awards?
